Privacy Policy.

Privacy matters to us. Below is an honest list of what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. We use as little as possible.

1. Controller

Steven Dörr

Passau, Germany

Email: hello@brimbreak.ai

For privacy-related requests, please write to the email address above.

2. Server logs (Vercel hosting)

This site is hosted on Vercel Inc. (Frankfurt fra1 region). Standard server logs collect:

• IP address (anonymized after 30 days)

• User agent (browser, OS)

• Referrer URL

• Timestamp of request

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in security and stability).

3. Vercel Web Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous traffic measurement. Tracking is cookieless and hash-based — no cookies, no personal profiles, no cross-site tracking.

We collect anonymous: page views, time on page, device class, country (country level, not city).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can opt out via the cookie banner.

4. Contact form (Resend email delivery)

If you use the contact form, you submit: name, email, current stack (optional), problem description.

These data are sent via Resend (EU region) by email and stored in the Resend dashboard for 90 days (for spam filtering and reply tracking). Then auto-deleted.

We reply within 48h or not at all — and delete emails after reply or at the latest after 12 months.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiating a contractual relationship) or (f) (handling your request).

5. Video hosting (Mux & CloudFront)

The hero background video is delivered as an HLS stream via Mux (mux.com). Hero icon videos and case-study video go through AWS CloudFront. Both services receive your IP address for delivery — it is not used for profiling or tracking.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (technically necessary for content delivery).

6. Browser storage (LocalStorage)

We store a single LocalStorage entry in your browser:

• Key: brimbreak.consent.v1

• Content: your cookie banner choice (accepted / declined / deferred) plus timestamp

This entry never leaves your browser and is not sent to any server. You can delete it anytime via browser settings.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

7. Your rights (Art. 15–21 GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access (Art. 15) — what we hold about you

• Rectification (Art. 16) — correct inaccurate data

• Erasure (Art. 17) — right to be forgotten

• Restriction of processing (Art. 18)

• Data portability (Art. 20)

• Object to processing (Art. 21)

Write to us at hello@brimbreak.ai. We respond within 30 days.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe processing of your data violates GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
